CAT Appeal Update

,
We’re delighted to let you know that our appeal to the refusal by NHS Tayside of our Community Asset Transfer (CAT) request for the Brechin Infirmary site was sent to the Scottish Government on Tuesday (27th July 2021)  afternoon.

Gathering all the relevant information and putting it together into a coherent document took quite a bit of time, but we got there. Nicky Donald and her colleague David Henderson from Community Ownership Support Services (COSS) gave us extremely helpful feedback on our drafts and they are hopeful we will be successful with our appeal. We are confident that the Reporter will decide in our favour although as mentioned previously it may take some time for a decision to be made. Patience is now required. ?

The Jenner Centre continues to be well used every week by a range of groups and organisations offering help and support to many people. Also, a number of the Steering Group received training in servicing hearing aids and so we are able to offer folk the full range of help and support required. The Hearing Aid service is every Tuesday from 10:00 to 12:00. Hearing Aid Battery Replacement Service is every Tuesday and Friday from 10:00 to 12:00. No appointments required but face coverings mandatory in the centre.

Once again, thank you ? for your continued support and we will keep you updated on developments.
