October Newsletter

,

Following the submission of our appeal and additional information to the Reporter appointed by the Scottish Government in connection with our Community Asset Transfer, we have now been asked to provide further information. In addition, the Reporter has asked to visit the Infirmary site on 16 November.  We are aware that this will delay the decision, but are hopeful that the decision will made before the end of the year. We will keep you updated on developments and let you know the decision as soon as we hear.

The Jenner Centre continues to be well used every week by a range of groups and organisations offering help and support to many people. We are delighted to say that a new toenail cutting service, Jenner Footcare, will be starting very soon. Joyce Galt, one of our Trustees, will be offering the service and from what we gather she will be in great demand. It will keep her on her toes!! If you want to find our more – appointments, costs etc – contact Joyce on  jenner.footcare@gmail.com.

We now have a number of Chromebooks at the Jenner Centre and these can be used by anyone who needs access to the internet eg to find health information or to access eConsult for medical advice. Training sessions will be set up to help those of you who are unsure about using these devices. You can contact the Jenner Centre (07547 794996) to find out more.

Once again thank you very much for your continued support.
